Is music a mystery? Some people focus on rhythm and beats, others lyrics- together, done just right you have a song. Each song can mean something entirely different to another- depending on time, place, and event. So, in writing a song the idea I may have will possibly not be yours. As an independent singer/songwriter the best motivation to push forward through the creative processes is getting responses back from listeners letting you know how a song has affected them. The other would be knowing the song you create takes a life of its own and travel to meet people in places you may never go for years beyond your lifetime. These are just a few reasons I make a great deal of effort to touching real issues, emotions, and try to leave a positive message for others.
