While teaching and watching your child grow into an adult, most children love to draw, color, paint, write with chalk- and most parents spend time with their child guiding them on drawing. While the child grows up, there will be many aspects of life both you and child will have managed to overcome and grow through. The parental bond forms, and memories gained are so very special. Along with the heartaches that come along with each situation. This is a reflection of shape and color- "color me"

The story line on this song is regarding how music can trigger emotions. When hearing a New song for the first time, you many tend to listen to it a bit closer to determine the lyrics and what they are saying, also what that means to you. Then again you might be more interested in the instruments used and how the beat feels. I used a little play on words in the title and within the song- you might catch if you do focus on the lyrics. This song is about hearing a New song – in particular- “A Song” Yes I am anticipating and predicting it will be greatly enjoyed. Not only enjoyed but the listener will be blown away by the song enough to learn it and sing along. I tend to enjoy songs about rain, so I wanted to shape the image around it raining. Maybe triggering the listener to remember an enjoyable time they spent out playing in the rain. Even a light shower that brightened up their day. Possibly even an emotional time where a good rain helped you process through a heartache. All in all I hope this song finds a happy place to connect with the listener.

Struggles in life come in many ways, shapes, and forms. Psychological factors can go un-noticed but can still hold a place that only the individual will understand. Breaking down the limits that are psychologically created by persons, events, or circumstances are the hidden obstacles people will endure throughout life. This song celebrates the achievement of all people that have held some form of mental challenge, overcoming, and breaking the limits that previously were holding them in a certain state of limbo. Life seems to keep the day busy with, family, work, and social/personal events. Work is the time you dedicate towards sustaining things we do in our lives. Some jobs take people away from their homes for extended periods of time, missing out on life’s special events. This “Borrowed Time,” takes us away from what we really would rather be doing. “Borrowed Time,” is a song that reflects on the questions- when will I be done with giving up/ trading my time away and when will I get the luxury of getting back to my home. I dedicate this song to all of those working away from their true lives and wish them the best working through the “Borrowed Time.”

All throughout life you will find someone giving information on end times – enforcing it with self-proclaimed reasons. Some will make more sense than other – All will be out of your control. This is my personal reflection on how I feel. Be a better person, learn from mistakes, and be able to accept your end. Most people can accept they need to work towards at least one of these things. You have nothing to worry about staying ready, when the getting ready is over. Boy scout motto-”Be Prepared.” When the issue comes up claiming the end time is drawing near, just remember only-“Heaven Knows.”

Music can be a segway to reflection- of a time – place – event- or a person. Sometimes it maybe just enjoying the moment your currently involved. “Broken Dreams,” is a reflective song that incorporates a time dreams were not attained. Possible goals made and not achieved. While, at that place in time being disappointed and possibly losing a future direction. Sometimes our personal goals and dreams are not how God’s plan in our lives are designed. What you may have consider a failure - will be reevaluate later in life as merely a change in the direction that best benefited you. There are conditions we would all love to establish and have met by ourselves/others, but really none of us can truly control the outcome. It is never “our conditions.” More like, “our mistakes.” Those are two lines I pulled from the song lyrics. Is life an uphill battle? Are the odds set against us? How high does the walls of self-protection need to be? Or, are you just assuming too much? The song- “It’s so easy,” is a thought redefined. It is looking at what you have and who you have it with and acknowledging how you have been blessed. Nobody does it on their own and enjoys life to its full potential. A wonderful life is the time you spend while enjoying the wonderful people and world around you. Choose your life, make your choices, and ride the waves of life you can and will create. Do not assume too much, Love in the truest form, and stay the course. In doing just that much you may find – “It’s So Easy.”

Life has a different plan for all of us, still much the same. After living what I know to be the majority of what my lifetime will be, I have determined “Waves”- is a Great synonym. “Waves” can be enjoyed (more as a child), they can be consistent/ repetitive, damaging, and some follow with an undertow that can kill. While over a period of time, the strongest rocks can be broken down into the tiniest pieces. My suggestion is: keep your head up, stay afloat, and keep moving forward towards your point of destination while avoiding your obstacles. Only you will know the struggles, everyone else will see the outcome. In my life I have experience all of these things, yet still I enjoy the “Waves.” With this song I hope you too can enjoy the “Waves”
